The coolest opening of 2011 could well be in Morocco ( the current hotel 'it' destination). Baglioni Marrakech isn't opening until towards the end on 2011 but already there is a lot of buzz goin' down. The fact that Jade Jagger is interior-designing the15 exclusive residences could have something to do with it. A Rock Dynasty vibe will always add to the cool count.

Jagger cut her luxe design teeth creating serious baubles for royal jewellers Garrads of Mayfair, as well as her own jewellery label and her ibiza home is famously stylish. So no surprise then that the jade-green eye should turn to hotel interiors. She already has an apartment building in Chelsea NYC under her belt called Jade New York City Apartments (how many other interior designers get the whole block named after them).

Word is the 4 and 5 bedroom residences at Baglioni Marrakech will be pretty special. The largest is 840 square metres and Baglioni tell us the interiors are 'a result of a love affair between Jade Jagger and the city [of Marrakech]'. A project fuelled by passion sounds good to us.

The resort will also have 72 suites with views of the Atlas Mountains, a Six Senses spa set in the gardens, an open air group treatment area (hey, its that kind of hotel), a hamman and a yoga pavilion.
